I like cancelled plans. And empty bookstores. I like rainy days and thunderstorms. And quiet coffee shops. I like messy beds and over-worn pajamas. Most of all, I like the small joys that a simple life brings.
I don’t care if you’re black, white, straight, bisexual, gay, short, tall, fat, skinny, rich or poor. If you’re nice to me, I’ll be nice to you. Simple as that.
self-reminder: I am so much more than I think I am. I am worth more than I give myself credit for. I am important. I am special. I am enough. I matter. I matter. I matter.
Our deepest calling is to grow into our own authentic self-hood, whether or not it conforms to some image of who we ought to be. As we do so, we will not only find the joy that every human being seeks–we will also find our path of authentic service in the world.
